A native of Wales, David Gray has been on the verge of singer-songwriter stardom for years, and many would argue heΓÇÖs already made it. With a devoted following, and critics who compare him to Mike Scott of the Waterboys, Gray has built up his status as a gifted singer-songwriter over the past seven years. Beginning in 1993, heΓÇÖs released four albums and built up a devoted following. Many fans consider his second album Flesh to be his best, but his latest set White Ladder could be giving it a run for its money. Literate and beautiful and perfect phrasing make his songs reverberate with an emotional power. We caught up with him in Austin at South By Southwest and shot his private performance of ΓÇ£BabylonΓÇ¥ there.
